meet the doctor
Dr. Ahmed ALSultan
Dr. Ahmed ALSultan is the medical director of SkinSpots. He is registered as a specialist in general practice, with a special interest in skin cancer surgery. He has extensive surgical training with a focus on cosmetic and skin cancer surgery. He manages a wide range of complexities, including the removal of lesions (cancerous or benign) in technically challenging areas such as the face, aiming to achieve cosmetically pleasing outcomes. Some other areas of the body may require reconstruction of the resulting defect with skin flaps or even technically demanding skin grafts, which he performs as deemed clinically necessary. However, he aims to keep things as simple as possible.
Dr. ALSultan has achieved multiple postgraduate qualifications, including a postgraduate diploma in surgical anatomy and a master’s degree in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Additionally, he holds several certifications in skin cancer dermoscopic detection (a device used to differentiate between cancerous and non-cancerous lesions). He offers full-body skin checks. He regularly attends conferences to stay updated on developments in the field and to learn from other experts. He holds double specialist fellowships – FRNZCGP and RACGP.
